I hope this letter finds you in good health. It is with mixed emotions that I am writing to inform you of a significant change in our practice. After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close Endocrine and Diabetes Associated practice effective March 29, 2024.
This decision has not been made lightly, and I truly appreciate the trust and confidence you have placed in me over the years. My commitment to providing high-quality healthcare remains unwavering, and to ensure continuity of care, I am pleased to inform you that I will be transitioning to a telemedicine platform at Capital Endocrine Care. Although this change places me outside the current insurance network and will not be working with insurance plans, I remain committed to providing you with the best possible care offered through a direct payment model.

Dr. Yemul Almecci
Background
Dr. Yemul Almecci received her medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in India in 2005. A native of Pennsylvania, Dr. Almecci attended Temple University in Philadelphia, PA for her undergraduate studies. She completed her Internship and Residency training in Internal Medicine as well as her Fellowship training in Endocrinology and Metabolism at Stony Brook University Medical Center in New York.
Dr. Almecci is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, Endocrine Society and of the American Thyroid Association.
In her spare time, Dr. Almecci’s enjoys spending time with her family, drawing, painting, yoga, cooking and reading. She is also bilingual in English and Hindi. She joined our practice in September 2012.
